Kyoto University Women's Lacrosse Club Support Fund

Aiming to be a strong Kyoto University that continues to compete in the Kansai Top League!

The Kyoto University Women's Lacrosse Club was established in 1991 and promoted to the Kansai Top League in 2022. Guided by the philosophy of "creating a team where everyone can showcase their strengths through intelligence unbound by convention and organizational power," the team upholds their Pride Charter, which emphasizes "a commitment to victory," "mutual respect," "enjoying the process," and "embodying gratitude." They dedicate themselves to daily efforts and activities to achieve their goals.

Since achieving promotion to the Kansai Top League, our next goal is to become a "stronger Kyoto University" that is a regular member of the top league, and we are working hard every day to achieve this, however there is still a difference in ability between us and the strong private universities. With all members starting lacrosse at university—many of whom were not part of athletic clubs in high school—we recognize the need not only to improve individual players' skills but also to strengthen the organizational foundation of our team as a whole.

To strengthen the foundation of our team, we aim to create an environment that allows for more practical experience by using the fund to purchase essential equipment and supplies for practices and games, as well as to cover travel expenses for external matches and tournaments, which we have previously been unable to participate in as frequently. Additionally, to enhance our competitive performance, we plan to use the fund to support costs such as transportation and honoraria for external staff, including athletic trainers, who currently provide their guidance on a volunteer basis.
